Initial demolition
The initial demolition is mechanical (non-explosive) and consists of dismantling of all non-structural elements of the building: doors, windows, glazing, after which the supporting structure is destroyed using an excavator equipped with hydraulic shears and jaws for demolition. The destruction is shock-less, gradual – piece by piece, while at every step the appropriate parts of the building are processed (the concrete and reinforcing steel are simultaneously cut) until the foundations are reached. When demolishing buildings, which require greater efforts for breaking heavy structural elements like plates or foundations for heavy loads, hydraulic hammers are used.
